I’m Dorothea Vincent, a photographer, artist, and lifelong observer of the quiet magic in everyday life. 

Photography has been my compass for more than thirty years. It’s the one thing that has remained steady through every move, every new direction and the journey that has followed. My husband and I came to Tennessee in 2022 where we found a quality of life enriched with culture, church, and community. It's the place of our plan to build a home of our own. For now we live simply, in a camper on our land in Grandview, while we work toward breaking ground on our forever home. My portrait work is not just my passion; it’s the way I contribute to creating that future. Every session supports our dream while giving my clients meaningful, honest, artful images that celebrate who they are. This work matters to me deeply, and I’m honored each time I’m chosen to create a portrait for a client.

As an artist, when I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me painting animal portraits in a whimsical, colorful style inspired by folk art that allows me to play and bring a bit of joy into the world.
